left from Boston; landed in Liverpool, England. After a few months sailed from South Hampton to cross the channel to France.

serial number 36229900

inducted at Fort Sheridan, Illinois.  Basic training at Camp Wallace, Texas.  Cadre man, Staff Sgt in supply at Camp Davis, NC. Bivouacked and infiltration course at Camp Stewart, Georgia. refresher for overseas, Camp picket, VA.  Transferred to infantry in France in February. 1945, then on thru Belgium and into Germany with the 106th division"
