Clarence Edward Yoders born 12 March 1898 at Sugar Run (East Waynesburg), Franklin Township, Greene County, PA. Clarence was a stone mason and building contractor with Yoders Brothers Construction Company in Washington and Waynesburg, PA. Residence: Sugar Run, Franklin Township, 1898 to ?; Washington, Washington County, PA, to 1929; Race Street, Waynesburg, 1929-1930; 78 Ruth Street, Mount Washington, Pittsburgh, PA; 592 North Porter Street, Waynesburg, to 1939.He enlisted in the Pennsylvania National Guard on 13 April 1917 and served with K Company, 110th Infantry Regiment, 28th Division. He was engaged in five (5) campaigns in France and the Army of Occupation during World War I. After being honorably discharged 23 May 1919, he served as first sergeant of Company K at Waynesburg, Greene County for the remainder of his life. m. 18 August 1923 in Washington County, PA to Edna Gertrude Brewer Miller (See: M2342).Clarence was a member of the "Escort of Honor" at the dedication of the war memorial in France in 1926, the Sons of the American Revolution, James Farrell Post 300 of the American Legion, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Greene County Republican Central Committee.
