Joseph F. Perry, Staff Sgt.
30th Division, 120th Regiment,
Company D, Mortar Platoon

S/Sgt Joseph F. Perry receiving the Bronze Star from General Leland Hobbs, at
Mortain. The citation reads for "bravery in action".

My father, Joseph F. Perry was a Staff Sgt. in the 30th Division, 120th, Company D, Mortar Platoon. He trained in Camp Blanding, FL, then went to Camp Forest, TN and then to Camp Atterbury, IN. He died in 1988 of cancer. My mother, Irene Perry; however is still living. She traveled with Daddy while he was at the above locations as they had just married and she was not ready to be separated yet :)  Email his daughter here Ladykimberly1118@aol.com  She would enjoy hearing from anyone that might have know her father.
