EDINBURGH, IN - Ralph E. Thomas, 87, of Edinburgh, IN went to be with the Lord Tuesday October 7, 2008 in Columbus, IN. He was born on August 17, 1921 in Troutville, VA the son of Samuel Clinton and Clara Inez (Rock) Thomas.
He was a member of the Dade City Christian Church of Florida and he retired in 1979 after 35 years as a superintendent for Borg-Warner Corporation. He was an Army Veteran of WWII served with the 30th Infantry Division.
Surviving relatives include his wife Marge (Scott) Cochran Thomas; one son, Johnny Thomas (wife Merita) of Golden, CO; one daughter, Joyce Bowyer (husband George) of Greenwood, SC; two granddaughters, Dr. Trista Bowyer of Denver, CO and Heather Bowyer of AZ; three step-sons, Richard Cochran (wife Janet) of GA, Larry Cochran (wife Sharon) of Indianapolis, IN and Patrick Cochran (wife Jan) of Shelbyville, IN; one brother, Carl Thomas (wife Rose) of Millersburg, KY; a nephew, Percy Calwell Jr. of Covington, VA.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ann (Printzos) Thomas; four brothers, George, Clinton, Lewis and Frank Thomas; three sisters, Clara Calwell, Gladys Lovell, and Cathern Thomas
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday October 11, 2008 at the Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 North State Road 3, Muncie, Indiana, 47303. Rev. Joe Wyatt will officiate the service. Burial will be in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie.
