Charles E. Caven, 92, of Regent Square, died Sunday, Dec. 6, 2009. He was the beloved husband of the late Lou Lou Sarver Caven; loving father of Bill Caven and his wife, Darlene Puff, Kim Comer and her husband, Charles, Carol Davis, Mary Ann Curry and her husband, Michael; dear grandfather of Frank Puff and his wife, Patti Angel, Crystal Caven, Jennifer Comer and her fiance, Alex Osgood, Charles and Nicholas Comer, Daniel and Michael Curry; great-grandfather of Trinity Puff and Kaylee Ann Curry; and beloved friend of Veronica Greenburg.

Mr. Caven was a World War II Army veteran of the 83rd Division and a lifetime member of Local No. 3 Electrical Workers.

Friends received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the THOMAS L. NIED FUNERAL HOME INC., 7441 Washington St., Swissvale. A service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Mifflin Avenue Methodist Church. The Nied Funeral Home is a proud member of the Goad Grief Center.
