Awarded the Nation's
Highest Military Award, Master Sergeant Hubert L. Lee was awarded the
Congressional Medal of Honor by President Harry S. Truman, 1 February 1952
for conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of his life above
and beyond the call of duty in action against the enemy near Ip-o-ri,
Korea on 1 February 1951 while a member of Company I, 23rd Infantry, 2nd
Division. |

spelled two different ways in the article. Later in the 31st
Infantry Division Yearbook for Company M, 155th Infantry, it is again
