RI Rifle Training Range - 1950
This range was still visible until sometime in 2006 when buildings were built in the area.

Building 4082 - Mockingbird Hill

Property owned by Mr. Frank Bowman, who built the home in 1936..  Bowman bought the property in 1912 from Mr. George Dehart, who bought it in 1910 from Mr. Henry Stillabower, who bought it in 1898 from Mr. Edward Sims (from Johnson County Auditor's office).

Mr. Bowman, the last private owner, owned 45 acres south of SR 252 (Future Hospital Road) and 315 acres north of the road.  He was a farmer of some note, and also owned a small feed mill which was located behind the theater in Edinburg.

The house has served various purposes since being acquired by the Army, including initial use as a guard-mount point and shift quarters for military police on duty at the East Gate, residence of the Chief Electrician in the office of the Post Engineer (1946), and Officer's Quarters (1950).

The house was demolished in 2002.  Only the brick porch posts remain.
